Home loan holders hit by IHT

The number of properties valued above the inheritance tax (IHT) threshold could double in the next nine years, says Halifax. Its research shows that the number could rise to four million by 2015 and six million in 2025.It blames the likely explosion on the government’s inability to link the threshold to house price inflation, as house prices continue to rise.
